DeBary
DeBary is located on the northern shore of the beautiful St. Johns River, the gateway to southwestern Volusia County. The City was named for Samual Frederick DeBary, a New York
wine importer who built a landmark residence, now known as DeBary Hall.
The mansion was recently renovated and is listed in the National
Registry of Historic Places.
The City of DeBary, officially incorporated January 1, 1994, is primarily a residential community. Its small town southern charm and proximity to I-4 has made the area appealing to Orlando executives and young families commuting to the surrounding metropolitan area.
Well manicured, gated communities
coexist with the older charming neighborhoods making DeBary a popular
choice for relocation. Despite its growth to a population of 16,000,
the City of DeBary retains its small town character, with small retail shops and both rural and county club lifestyles.
The affordable City of DeBary occupies 25 square miles and contracts with Volusia County for most of its services. DeBary has the lowest ad valorem tax rate in Volusia County.
Deltona

Affordable Florida
living at its best in Deltona as it was marketed worldwide as the
ultimate planned community. The pre-cursor to many Florida retirement
communities to follow and promoted by the cannyMackle brothers, it
almost seemed it was manufactured elsewhere and carefully placed on the
rolling ground north of Lake Monroe.All
good living lures, including a full blown country club with swimming
pool, tennis, golf, and dining were in place. Tiny low maintenance
homes were offered at prices that dazzled the people from the north.
Small down payments and monthly amortization sweetened the offerings
and many were bought sight unseen for 'investments. TheMackies grand
plan is now a city of 60,000 that has a hard time keeping pace with
its' school needs alone.
Heathrow

The prestige, Heathrow is located just on the outskirts of the Lake Mary border. This upscale city gives you all the benefits of Orlando while living in luxury.
Longwood

The City of Longwood may not be one of the largest cities in Central Florida,
but it ranks among the oldest, dating roughly from the end of the
Second Seminole War. Many settlers moved to Longwood and established
orange groves and other crops in the area. They sent word to the North,
speaking of the Florida climate and warm weather. Soon, more and more moved to the Central Florida area.
Longwood
soon became inundated with entrepreneurs, small business owners,
churches and houses. Many of these early buildings are still in
existence today in downtown Longwood and many are on the National
Register of Historic Places. New economic and development opportunities
were brought to the area and fueled by both the space industry and the
development of Walt Disney World and other attractions.
The City of Longwood

and enhancement of commercial and industrial uses. Longwood is unique
in that it provides a comfortable, safe, small town atmosphere while
being nestled within a larger, dynamic metropolitan area which is

Altamonte Springs

Apopka is surrounded by springs. three miles east of town is Wekiva Springs State Park. Its large area of unspoiled woodlands make it the largest park in Central Florida.

bubbles up 48 million gallons of crystal clear water daily.
Six miles north of town is Rock Springs.
A county- maintained park area surrounds a natural spring, from which
flow's 26,000 gallons of water per minute. Magnificent oaks and
hickories drench the 200-acre park in shade.
Camping, picnicking and swimming are all available in both the natural attractions. The combined parks in Wekiva GEO Basin totals approximately 40,000 acres. The Wekiva River begins in the basin and flows into the St. Johns River in Sanford.
There are several golf courses within ten miles of town. Orlando,
12 miles away, offers almost every cultural advantage. Good
restaurants, theaters, libraries, symphony orchestra and a good program
of celebrities. The Disney World/Epcot/MGM complex and Universal
Studios are approximately 35 miles from Apopka.
Clearwater Beach

Deland

Blue Spring State Park, just west of Orange City,
is centered on the Blue Spring 'boil' which produces 105 million
gallons of sparkling clear water each day. The boil is accessible by
way of rustic boardwalks winding through lush wilderness. Fishing,
swimming, diving and boating facilities are available as well as
camping and picnic areas.
Blue
Spring is the winter home of the Florida Manatee, or sea cow, a unique
species of water mammal which migrates here each year to escape the
chilly St. Johns River in the constant 72-degree waters of the Blue
Springrun.The coming of the Manatee to Blue Spring State Park each
winter is reason for celebration at the Manatee Festival, held in late
January at Orange City's Valentine Park, near the entrance to Blue
Spring Park.
At DeLeon Springs State Park, just north of DeLand at the community of DeLeon Springs, retrace the route taken by Spanish explorer Ponce DeLeon
when he discovered what he believed to be the legendary Fountain of
Youth. Here, too, you will find ancient cypress and oak trees, native
birds, Indian burial grounds. A natural spring swimming area, picnic
grounds, fishing, rental canoes and paddle boats are also available.
Golfers
will enjoy our several beautiful rolling courses. Public golfing is
great year-round at the Southridge Golf Course in Deland, and at the
Glen Abbey Golf Club and DeBary Golf & Country Club in DeBary.
Members and their guests may play the Deland Golf & Country Club
and the Deltona Country Club as well.
